On the social side . . .

Last week was filled with loads of fun activities, Strike Bowling for Alec’s birthday, Boys Like Girls at the Hi-Fi and Fame the musical – one of my all time favourites! And don’t forget you can follow us on twitter now as well, this is yet another new feature of our new website – which is getting closer and closer!!! YAY!

Black and White Stripes

A big thank you to bythebead for featuring our music note bunting in their black and white stripes etsy treasury last week. You can see the treasury here. We have only just started putting items back into our etsy store because we have been so busy with our new website design but promise that the the shop will be full in no time!

Speaking of cakes here are some pics of a very special delivery we received on Saturday from, yep, you guessed it Super Mum! J-Netty has been at it again and because I often forget to eat, well to my mother’s standards anyway (I know, very unhealthly behaviour – but life just gets too exciting sometimes!) my mum often comes bearing super special gifts of my favourite foods, whether it be mini quiches, crumbed chicken pieces, vegetable soup or cupcakes, it’s never too much trouble and let me tell you it is greatly appreciated here at Chateau Margate!

Inside Out

Catch Up and a little bit of Team Jacob!

So I am playing catch up a bit here because so much has happened in the last month or two and I have been seriously lazy with updating our loyal followers! Not only have we been crazy busy with custom orders (a big thank you to everyone who has placed orders in the last couple of weeks) but we have finally finished our new website design, we absolutely cannot wait to get it uploaded so you can all enjoy it as much as we have been here at PTA headquarters!

The last few weeks have been very social, including the Babes in Business SATC2 Cocktail Party at Portside, Matilda’s Markets, Train at The Tivoli and of course Finders Keepers (which was followed by a fantastic evening of dinner at Byblos and cocktails at Cloudland). And then there was the long weekend . . . the one with meltdowns, markets, hot rods, bobby socks, killer karaoke and the best family in the world! We are sad to see Wintersun leaving ‘ol Coolytown but hope that it is just as successful in its new home.

Now is there any better way to finish off the month (and financial year – total accounts bedlam here today – aggghhhh) with a midnight premier of Eclipse, the third movie to be released in the Twilight Saga??? I think not! Well a special mention on Handmade Cooperative has also sweetened the deal – thanks Dianne for including our Little Ladybugs frame art.

This coming weekend sees markets at The Teneriffe Festival and Southbank Young Designers, followed by the Boutique Markets next Sunday July 11 at Portside Wharf, Hamilton. So much more to tell but the Minister for Finance (my business partner, Alex) is cracking the EOFY whip!

Hope those of you who are lucky enough to be on school holidays or have little people at home on holidays are enjoying some warm inside activities. I’ll leave you with a little Jacob and the latest hit from Train which always makes me smile!

Evie the Elephant

A big thank you to the lovely Lauren from Evie the Elephant for featuring our dream butterfly frame on her blog recently. Lauren’s blog is gorgeous and so are her personalised prints, so be sure to jump on over and check them out for yourself! I’m particularly liking the print below which brings me to some more wonderful news, my oldest and dearest bestie welcomed a gorgeous little boy by the name of Noah into the world last week, he is just adorable and I absolutley cannot wait until August to meet him!!!

Wintersun Weekend

Ahhhh I love that feeling of accomplishment once the car is packed and ready for market day! This weekend is going to be huge for us at The Paper Tie Affair because the sun is shining and its winter time, yes that’s right it’s the weekend of Wintersun, and what a weekend it’s going to be, not only will this be the final hooray for Wintersun as we know it at Coolangatta (very sad as this weekend has become quite a tradition in our family) we also have some very special visitors stopping by to say hi! We are also super excited to be launching an entire new line of products as well as adding some new members to our PTA family of products . . . so pop on down and say hi, or keep an eye out for our new products which will be featured as soon as we are back on deck here in the studio!
